Snowy Pines

The people closest to me know I look for any excuse to use my drone, and the Snowy Pine trees in Arizona was the perfect one. This was the same trip that we saw the Grand Canyon. We stayed in an Airbnb in Flagstaff, Arizona.
When determining where to go for Spring Break, none of us had the foresight to look at the weather in Arizona. We figured that since it was the spring, it would be a nice, refreshing 70 degrees. Needless to say, our dreams of a warm and airy spring break were proven to be an illusion when we struggled to even arrive at our Airbnb because of the hazardous ice and road conditions.
After trying and failing to drive up the icy driveway multiple times, we gave up. I have seen pine trees before, but never like in Arizona. The way the branches display the snow was stunning from the ground, so I couldn't wait to see it from the air.
This is the house we were staying at, and you can see me piloting from our front porch.
The first moment I could, I flew my drone and ignored the "high wind" and "cold weather" warnings it gave me. The view looking straight down on us was unlike anything I'd seen.
All the houses looked the same, dusted perfectly in white like perfectly painted with a paintbrush. Even footprints in the snow became invisible from the air, and it all looked like a painting that was too good to be true.
It was fun to imagine that in every single house that looks so similar, there are families with their own stories. Some bundling up by the fire, some watching movies together. There's something beautiful in that though everything looks so similar and is unified in the snow, each person experiences it so differently and has their own story.
